Morzine
Nestling in a large vale which
stretches out to the Swiss border, half way between Mont
Blanc and Lake Geneva, Morzine displays the rich character
of a typical mountain village.
It was the popularity of this
spa town that first opened Morzine to tourism at the beginning
of the 20th century. Development was cautious so as to maintain
the natural beauty of its environment. The village is a
local community, inhabited all year round and as such feels
real.
The facilities have been continually
modernized and skiers now have access to one of the largest
ski areas in the world, the Portes du Soleil, however the
spirit of the village remains intact.
