Morzine, French Alps family owned chalet for self catering accommodation, great for skiing and snowboarding.

Winter in Morzine

There is more Skiing around Montriond & Morzine than you can possibly Ski in a week. On the far side of Morzine are the slopes of Pleney, where a gentle blue runs down from the top through the trees, or a good red that comes straight down. Behind Pleney is access to Les Gets & Nyon, with Pointe de Nyon and Le Ranfolly offering some excellent Skiing. There is ample Skiing in this area for all standards for a week and we have not yet covered the Portes du Soleil.

The Super Morzine Ski area is above the tree line, right behind the Chalet. Access to Super Morzine is via the telecabine that starts at the bottom of the Morzine footbridge. The runs from Super Morzine are wide blues with an occasional red, so it’s a great place to finish a day. You can also gain access from here, up into Avoriaz.

To ensure that you stay within your capabilities, the whole area has devised a system of matching animals to level of difficulty of slope. There are Rabbits, Stags & Bears, as well as the traditional Green, Blue, Red & Black.

We prefer to use Ardent as our access into the Portes Du Soleil as you have the widest choice of Skiing from this point. At the top of Ardent is Les Lindarets and from here you can Ski up into Avoriaz, or take the Les Brochaux chair lift to Pointe de Mossette and into Switzerland. Alternatively use the Col du Bassachaux chair into the Chatel valley. One word of warning, if you Ski into Switzerland or Chatel you need a Portes du Soleil pass, everywhere else can be Skied on a Morzine / Les Gets pass

Whatever your standard of Skiing, you will be able to Ski all week, without that feeling of deja-vu.
